Welcome to Class Two
Dear Parents,
Welcome back to the new school year. I am pleased to introduce myself, Miss Wiggins, as your childs new class teacher.
Allergies
If your child has any allergies or illnesses that the school is not already aware of could you please speak to me at the first opportunity. If your child uses an inhaler or requires any other form of medication during school hours could you also let this be known as early as possible.
Reading at home
I am keen to continue the great progress that your child has already made, therefore the class will receive weekly spelling and reading tasks to be carried out at home. Your support will be greatly appreciated; I am sure that if both Staff and Parents work together, our encouragement will motivate and inspire your child to reach their full potential.
Friday P.E
We will do P.E every Friday morning so please ensure that your child brings the correct kit as outlined in the school prospectus, including suitable footwear. In addition, please encourage your child to dress and undress independently as this will help when we are changing for P.E.
Help in School
If you are able to volunteer any help in school, your time would be greatly valued. We would really appreciate any help with reading, baking, Art projects and educational visits so come and join us if you can.
I look forward to celebrating your childs success and achievements in this exciting year ahead. I will be introducing myself personally to you over the next few days, and hope that you will feel welcome in our classroom at all times throughout the year.
Miss Wiggins, Class 2 teacher.

Our visit to Newby Hall Sculpture Park
We had a fantastic time looking at all the different sculptures.
We used our maps to find our way around the trail.
There were fish.....
....and buffalo (or was it a bison). What's the difference between a buffalo and a bison? You can't wash your hands in a buffalo!!
.....and a swan.....
and a horse....
.....and an ice man....
....and this massive slice of fruit....
...and this lovely owl.
They were made out of different materials - this one was made from a type of plastic.
We finished our visit we had a fantastic trip on the train!
We had a wonderful time! Thank you Newby Hall!
