Welcome to Class 3
Class 3 Newsletter September 2008
Dear Parents,
This is a new beginning for us all in Class 3. We are looking forward to sharing the class and we hope the children enjoy the experience of having two teachers. Mrs. Clements will start the week and teach until Wednesday lunchtime and Mrs. Graham will teach from Wednesday afternoon until the end of the week. Mrs. Owens will teach the children music on Wednesday morning from 11 -12 a.m. We will use this time for planning and feedback together.
Mrs. Clements will take major responsibility for English, History, Geography, Art and PSHE and Mrs. Graham will take major responsibility for Maths, Science, IT, RE and PE.
Our whole school topic this term will be ‘Light’. This half term we will be concentrating on the Environment in geography, Helping plants grow well in
For Games we will be swimming for the whole term. This will be on Friday mornings leaving school at 11.00 a.m. and returning by
12.30 p.m. Lunch will be eaten after we return. The children will also have a PE lesson on Tuesday morning. However it is important that the children have their PE kit in school all week as we may decide to do other physical exercise at different times.
This term we are looking forward to a Roald Dahl day on Friday 12th September and a Modern Languages Day on 26th September. We will also be having a sponsored PE day in aid of school funds and a charity called ‘Schoolchildren for children’ towards the end of this half term.
Towards the end of this half term you will be invited to a Parents’ evening in order to discuss how your child has settled into the new class. However if there are any issues or questions in the meantime please do pop in before or after school to speak to either of us.
Best Wishes,
